Sorry it too me so long to get back to you guys! I've been on a different planet. Anyhow, lets try to set up another viewing date since I missed Monday. I work tomorrow and thursday, but I'm free friday-sunday. Do those dates sound good to anyone??????

So i have to admit im happy that we got it done but it feels like something died inside. i think im gonna miss trying to draw X amount of pages in a limited time span. ^^;

Haha, making pencil okay really helps. I'm cranking the pages out now. I'm still behind, but I think i can make 100 pages. They aren't pretty, but hopefully people will be concentrating more on the action then on the fact that none of my figures have fingers.

...There's something satisfying about drawing Sailor Moon kicking Cinderella in the face...

Well, my animation is going slower then molasses. I'm really going to have to step it up this week! I have the beginning done, the intro, and now i have to do the fight scene. I keep putting it off, so after work i'm going to have to put my video games aside and just work. Music helps, haha. TV doesn't, its too distracting...

ah! here we go! I've done quite a bit of research and I'm getting my ideas down and drawing them.. just I'm still not sure of how I'm going to transition from piece to piece. hmmm, I'll figure it out.^_^

Starting

QUICK NOTE: Start your animation from the back of the book and move forward!! It's MUCH easier this way!!

Ok, so i have 6 pages done so far. It's hard to concentrate! Work is definitely getting in the way, but i am making progress.

I'm using sharpie markers and regular markers. I've found they work the best for this. Anything liquid will crumple up the paper making the tracing difficult.

Remember, SIMPLICITY!! Detail will screw you over! Mine has light detail and it's already annoying me.

Script...

I'm having a lot of trouble trying to figure out a script to go with my animation. I'm thinking I should have chosen an easier topic to interest kids. I like religion but not everyone does...

So I'm now addicted to the Host Club anime you guys showed me. I'm workin my way nicely through season 1 XP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im so pumped! Ive got quite a bit of my reasearch done and im making headway. Hows everyone else coming along?

Research/Sprites

So, i've pretty much got it figured out what I'm going to draw. I'll be doing Sailor Moon fighting one of the disney princesses. (Im debating on which one to fight right now) It will be done similar to a video game style, with the versus screen up front then the fight.

I've been looking up sprites from video games in order to get the fighting motions down and luckily i found a good number of them that will work as reference material.

As far as my research goes on Disney and Anime... well, I haven't found much. The only thing I was able to find was a little on wikipedia and things wrote by random people, nothing official. Plus, they don't mention much about it, just that Disney was an influence. Luckily i was able to get today off work and i have tomorrow off, so i plan to work on my outline and at least get the opening scene drawn.

Research....

Today I've been researching and researching trying to figure out how best to put my section together. My section specifically pertains to the influence of Japanese Anime on the world. I think I've found some pretty good stuff, but I think I'm having trouble figuring how I want to order things. I'm going to just jump into it and then just continue to add as things come to me that have relevance. It will be kind of like a crazy mind trip. Now I'm kind of excited.... :)
